HYBRID Wilderness First Aid, CPR & AED / Wilderness First Responder Recertification

Good for weekend base-campers, day-hikers (who have cell phone coverage), and those looking for basic wilderness first aid instruction. Great introductory course for those considering more advanced training. Includes CPR/AED and epinephrine injection training.

This is a hybrid course. Online component opens early January 2025 with the required face to face training February 8-9, 2025.

Hybrid Wilderness First Responder

Certification as a Wilderness First Responder is the industry standard for outdoor professionals including instructors, guides who lead multi-day group trips, Search and Rescue personnel, wildland firefighters, trail crews, rural EMT professionals, and those who take part in other high-risk or extended-stay outdoor activities.

This class consists of two parts. Part 1 is delivered fully online (course opens in early January) while Part 2 is delivered in a 5-day face-to-face session over two weekends in February 2025 (14-16 and 21-23). Students who have already completed Part 1 should register and pay for Part 2 ONLY. Available for academic credit through WNMU. WNMU students, register with your advisor.
