Located in “the building with the mural,” Barnard Hall, east of the Student Memorial Building on  College Avenue. We have tents, backpacks, boots, mountain bikes, canoes, disc golf Frisbee’s, paddleboard’s (SUPS), kayaks, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and more!

We rent to everyone, whether you are a WNMU student or just visiting Silver City for the weekend. Our goal is to help you safely enjoy the outdoors.

If you are a WNMU affiliate (student, staff, faculty, Western Institute for Lifelong Learning), you are able to borrow gear at no cost. Community members pay a fee to rent gear.

Bikes and water gear require a cash deposit of $50 per item. This fee applies to students as well as community members. Cash deposits can only be made at the Business Office (Castorena Hall) during hours of operation Monday through Friday 9:00 to 4:00.
