Course provides an introduction to wilderness medicine focusing on general concepts, basic anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, assessment and treatment. The course meets on the Western New Mexico University Campus in Silver City, NM (February 5-7, 2027) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Course includes CPR, AED and epinephrine injection certifications. Participants complete asynchronous learning modules online (30+ hours), then participate in the 50+ hour in-person sessions that take place over two weekends on the WNMU Campus in Silver City, NM ( Feb 19-21 & Feb 27-28, 2027) 8 a.m. – 5 p.m..
