Join the Outdoor Program for a Summit Saturday hike up McComas Peak. McComas Peak is one of the coolest local mountains around Silver City.

Where: Meet at the Outdoor Center (Barnard) McComas Peak is at elevation of 7,681 feet.

When: Saturday August, 31st at 8:30am.

How: The route is an out and back; round trip is roughly 2.5 miles with approximately 750 feet of elevation gain.

Why: Summit Saturdays and Summit Sundays are classic outdoor experiences at WNMU. Once a month we lead a group hike up a local peak. This hikes are great way to meet new people and learn more about the area. We always hike at a reasonable pace and accept people of all abilities and experiences.
