Continental Divide Trail (CDT) Trail Days!

The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) is a beautiful trail that traverses the Rocky Mountains for 3,100 miles from the Mexican Border in New Mexico to the Canadian Border in Montana. Silver City is the first gateway city from the Southern terminus of the trail. This year is Silver City’s 10th year as a gateway community! There are numerous events that you can participate in to celebrate Silver City and the great Continental Divide Trail!

FRIDAY April 19 – 9:00AM -5:00PM: Speakers and Presentations at the Silco Theater.

SATURDAY April 20 – 10:00AM-2:00PM: Gough Park: CDT Trail Days x Gila Earth Day Festival. This is a great time with plenty of local and national outdoor vendors. Great opportunity to learn more and connect with the community.

SUNDAY April 21 – 8:00AM-TBD: Community Hikes all around the area on the CDT and other trails. The WNMU Outdoor Program is leading a trip up Jack’s Peak in the Burro Mountains of the Gila National Forest on the CDT. This is a great hike, email Will at William.Tracy@wnmu.edu if you are interested in joining!
